Piece of Randolph History
The
Randolph Passenger Station
These
photographs show the combination passenger and freight train station in Randolph,
NY. The station was located on present day Main St. It was constructed early
in the building of the railroad during the 1860's.
This
photo shows the station in its later years. The concrete apron is gone and
the station has been shortened. The station was torn down in the early 1980s.
All that remains is a vacant lot.

- Publish works on important aspects of Town and Villages of Randolph History
- Stage exhibits of artifacts and documents that
interpret local history
- Operate historic sites that allow the public
to experience the past and make connections to the present; including
the development and placement of
historical site markings.
- Support historic document preservation and maintain public research facilities
- Care for collections related to the people places and activities of the
town and villages
- act as a repository of historical records,
including unwanted official town records, village records, institutional
business records, family records
and photographs.
- Conduct documentary projects to record the history of buildings, people,
arts, ands institutions of the town and villages.
- Commemorate and celebrate local historical events and people
- Cooperate with other historical societies and museum
- Conduct and preserve oral histories and memories of the Town and Villages.
- Conduct picture preservations projects to preserve
the pictorial history of the Town and Villages.
